Originally from Brazil, I came to the USA as a scientist in 2005, and Boston has been my home since then. Here, I have had the amazing experience of working at renowned institutions such as MIT. My research covers the most diverse topics from cancer to infectious and drug discovery.

Always up to help classmates with their own academic struggles when I was a young student myself, I knew early on that I would want to develop teaching skills. As a result, I pursued and received a second undergraduate degree in teaching.

This picture was featured in an article about my scientific research at MIT (Photo: M. Scott Bauer).

Besides my enthusiasm for all things science and languages, I'm passionate about cooking and photography, travel, and, of course, my dog Hugo (who may pop up on the screen any time during classes!).
